Black Desert Console confirms Mountain of Eternal Winter’s August 7 arrival… in a cash shop video

Just because it will be August soon doesn’t mean you can’t experience winter, or at least that will be the case for Black Desert Console players. That’s because the Mountain of Eternal Winter expansion, which launched to PC players in April 2022 and mobile in June 2023 has finally gotten a launch date for console: Wednesday, August 7th.

“Console players can venture into unknown lands to unravel the mystery behind the snowy mountain. The expansion introduces new allies and rivals, brand-new monster zones, and a variety of exciting activities, including challenging new boss fights.”

The expansion’s arrival was first confirmed at the very end of a preview video for summery cash shop items, which is definitely a head scratcher for both us and fans (if the comments are anything to go by) and is likely why Pearl Abyss decided to release a more formal and separate announcement video a day later. But reveal fumbles notwithstanding, at least BDO Console fans know that winter is indeed coming.
