Are you ready to get hyped? Possibly confused? Perhaps you’re going to wonder just who these people are? There’s a little something for every World of Warcraft fan, which has premiered the official cinematic trailer for its upcoming expansion The War Within.
As cinematics go, this one is light on details but heavy on atmosphere, as it showcases several characters girding for a battle in their own unique way, including a Troll performing a ritual dance, a one-armed Paladin strapping on some armor, and an Earthen manning the single biggest forge ever. The trailer further offered some wide shots of a couple of important vistas, and then ended with a tight shot of (presumably) Xal’atath.
Judging by remarks to the trailer on YouTube and Twitter, we’d say reaction appears to be pretty split. Some folks are extremely excited by the prospects being teased, while others wonder aloud who put Diablo in their WoW and remark that it’s “two minutes of nothing.” Watch the trailer below and see which bucket you fall in to.
