Palia’s latest update rewards gamers for building – and touring! – player houses

As teased, Singularity 6 – now owned by Daybreak, which continues to boggle the mind – released Palia’s Summer Serenade patch last night, with much more detailed patch notes than we got last week. At the top of the pile, we’re getting a home tour board, which essentially makes it easier for people to advertise and tour player-built constructs.

“Interact with the green Home Tour Board on your housing plot to participate in Home Tours. Each week you can select one of your home plots to submit into the current Home Tours Event. Once you submit, Palians will be able to visit an instanced version of your home plot, where they can see what you’ve designed, provide reactions, and be inspired by your home! Each Home Tour Event runs for one week and will reset at the end of the weekend.”

And yes, there are achievements and rewards and even a new currency on deck for participating in home tours. Folks, this is an MMORPG that is directly rewarding you for touring people’s houses. Rewards include things like special nameplates, wallpaper, floors, and even jukeboxes – all of which are also new in the patch.

The update also includes a new conservatory building, new summer-themed furniture, an outfit-saving wardrobe system, new login rewards, improvements to spawns and hunting, photo-mode tweaks, and a huge list of bug fixes.
