Yes, I know.

Question 15: Assume that Mr. Rogerson and Mrs. Hamwhistle live on a frictionless plane made out of solid chlorine. Assume that both of them live in houses made out of strontium. Assume that the Gun Fairy has arrived to give them guns that fire bullets of tungsten which travel at 100 m/s unless the shooter is looking at a dog, in which case they go half of the square root of the dog’s weight in ounces. What the hell has gone wrong in these people’s lives? How does any of this work?

Hints if stuck:
Mr. Rogerson was never baptized, and dogs can weigh many different things; do not forget that dogs can be small!

Question 401: Samuel has a farm with six horses, 49 chickens, two dozen pigs on a rotating share with three other farms, and four sheep. Samuel has made a deal with his livestock that if the majority of them can solve the Riddle of the Egyptian Lawyer (see Q. 221), he will agree to double their feed for a month but halve it for a number of days afterwards equal to the number of livestock that get the question wrong. If only one of Samuel’s sheep has a degree in mathematics and Samuel himself doesn’t sleep for a week, what sins will Samuel need to answer for before God?

Hints if stuck:
Pigs are not allowed to legally vote in Australia, and as explained, all horses commit tax fraud.

Question 2,164: What is even going on with What Are You Playing?

Bonus question: What’s a song you listen to whenever you’re feeling down?

Andy McAdams: More Final Fantasy XIV here. Trying to decide on what I want my melee main to be, and I am being remarkably indecisive.

Bonus Question: Unwell by Matchbox Twenty.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’m kind of thinking I’ll play Lord of the Rings Online or maybe even log some time in Star Wars Galaxies this weekend. I did some SWG this past week and feel a little itch to do more, but I’d also really like to get back into a soothing themepark like LOTRO. We’ll see!

When you’re alone
And life is making you lonely
You can always go
Downtown

That one, entirely because of LOST; I’ve used it to cheer myself up in face of chaos for a long time. Or maybe I’m Still Standing by Elton John. (Caveat, I find most of his stuff terribly annoying, but that song works.)

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): The First Descendant decided to hand out some earning boosts for the weekend, so that just further incentivizes my already planned playtime there. I’ve also got the usual dailies to do in Final Fantasy XIV, and I’m going to be doing some research on engineering for Elite: Dangerous now that the system is facing some changes. Doing research on a game is kind of like playing it, right?

I have a few songs that can help pick me up out of a slump, like things by Ozomatli, Foo Fighters, or Dry Kill Logic. But one song that almost always wipes that mental dry erase board clean and replaces it with good feels is Burn by The Cure. Not only is it the finest track out of The Crow’s already fantastic soundtrack, it’s probably one of the band’s best tunes in my opinion.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Yeah, it’s FFXIV and review title, and… that’s got to be enough. It has been a horrible week. I’ve got nothing left in the tank, people.

Komm Susser Todd from the End of Evangelion soundtrack seems appropriate.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): As I come down from vacation, I’ll be going all-out on a new LOTRO Captain for the fresh progression server that just released. Deliver some mail, run some pies, the usual. Maybe get in some World of Warcraft pre-expansion event grinding as well.

Sam Kash (@thesamkash): This weekend I really want to get some progress in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened’s latest story update. I’ve fallen so far behind and I didn’t even realize it. The seasonal content kept me so occupied that I didn’t even realize I hadn’t completed the previous chapter story!

Bonus: I think I’m going to go with Champaign High or Your Winter both by Sister Hazel. It takes me back to a certain time in my youth.

Tyler Edwards (blog): It’s going to be a packed weekend for me as I dive into the playtest for Immortal: Gates of Pyre, take advantage of WoW’s free weekend to level my warlock through the Radiant Echoes event, and conduct an in-person playtest of my latest RPG project.

Bonus question: Feeling down is my default state of being, so my music folder is mostly a collection of some of the bleakest music known to man. Some highlights (both in terms of being high quality and highly sad) are Metric’s Grow Up and Blow Away album, Meg Myers’ Take Me to the Disco album, and Chvrches’ whole catalogue.
