Ashes of Creation previews Alpha 2’s Citadel of The Steel Bloom and Firebrand

The road leading to Ashes of Creation’s long-awaited Alpha 2 is less than two months away at this point, and Intrepid Studios hopes to generate more interest (and no doubt key sales) in the upcoming lengthy test. To help with this, the team posted a 47-minute run-through of two key pieces of group content in the MMO.

The first was a delve into the Citadel of the Steel Bloom, which is a race to stop cultists from getting their hands on a prized artifact deep within a keep. This culminates in a 32-player raid against Firebrand, the Devouring Flame, a smaller brand of dragon.

Intrepid said that testers of Alpha 2 shouldn’t expect most of the legacy content until Phase 3 next year. The studio did change its Alpha 2 bundles (which range from $100 to $120) to include beta access, a month of subscription time, and $15 worth of in-game currency.
