EVE Online shares further adjustments coming to Equinox’s skyhook buildings

The skyhook is one of the primary features of EVE Online’s Equinox expansion, so naturally any adjustments made to it would very likely perk the ears of the sandbox’s playerbase. It’s for that reason that CCP Games appears to have put out a dev blog that shares some skyhook tweaks that are incoming ahead of an unreleased later patch to help capsuleers prepare for what’s next.

Among the changes coming to skyhooks are new timed raid windows to better help defenders prepare and stop skyhook owners from worrying about when their precious building baby is under threat, a new dual storage bay system that protects half of a skyhook’s produced reagents, and a “significant’ increase to the amount of reagents skyhooks extract. Finally, the post once more points out that all players will be forced to adopt the sovereignty system by October 29th.

Fellow blogger and regular EVE player The Nosy Gamer further contextualizes these planned changes while also musing how things like the dual storage bay will change certain player behaviors. He also takes some educated guesses on the update’s launch timing and what when the sandbox’s next expansion might land.
