We may be two weeks out from launch, but MMORPG New World has dropped its Aeternum launch trailer this afternoon anyhow. And the framing is actually pretty cool, as it shows a character going backward through time, starting with her confrontation with archenemy Isabella and going all the way back to being thrown off the boat and washing up on the doomed island – the same way any player character starts out at nobody and works to endgame.
This is far from the only video Amazon has rolled out this week; the studio has also kicked out two more “Most Wanted” videos – for Isabella, Thorpe, the Siren Queen, and Chardis – as well as two more Discovering Aeternum videos. Episodes 13 and 14 of that series focus on expeditions, which are just MMO dungeons, and the Lost and Corrupted NPC enemy groups. Finally, there’s a brief survival guide on lucrative lowbie resources. Dig in!
