Black Desert has more than just a big drop for console players this week, as the mobile version of the sandbox MMO has gotten some new PvP content and the PC version is previewing the next Awakening ahead of its launch on October 8th.

We’ll begin with BDO Mobile’s latest patch, which is headlined by the Guild League PvP skirmish that effectively operates as a pre-season before the guild vs. guild content properly begins. The pre-season will feature three more scheduled fights that pit two guilds in a head-to-head race to score kills and earn the most points within seven minutes.

To further entice participation, guild leaders will be given a chest that gives every guild member a box of goodies when it’s used. The number of the chests handed out will be based on ranking within the Guild League skirmish. As for when the feature will fully release, details will be shared on that front later. Otherwise the rest of this week’s BDO Mobile patch makes changes to Azunak’s Arena, applies a couple of updates to the Offin co-op rush, and makes several class balance adjustments.

Speaking of classes, the PC version of BDO is pulling the curtain back on the Dosa Awakening. This new version of the fog-wielding warrior will see him switching from the five elements of fire, water, wood, earth, and metal in order to engage in ranged and melee combat as well as provide some minor support. The class arrives on Tuesday, October 8th.

The new Awakening isn’t the only thing coming to PC, as a dev commentary video outlines future updates planned including a shift to how node wars work for the victorious guild, the new and easier to enhance Karazad accessories, four new monster zones headed for Land of the Morning Light, and a brief confirmation that work on a “hardcore server” is occurring.
