33 Immortals delays early access into 2025 to address player feedback and stability problems

'The game needs a little bit more time in the oven before it's ready'

Earlier this year we started reporting on the not-so-massive 33 Immortals, a multiplayer co-op roguelike game that put 33 players together (natch) to try and escape hell together, slaughtering enemies and bosses along the way. We checked the game out ourselves in a closed beta test last May and in a Fight or Kite column in June, both of which were generally favorable. Unfortunately, our writers – and everyone else looking forward to the game for that matter – will have to wait for its early access debut as developer Thunder Lotus is delaying that launch into next year.

The delay comes as a result of Thunder Lotus’ plan to “iron out a few unexpected challenges with stability and address the valuable feedback […] received from [players] during testing.” The studio also confirms that another test is coming, though it will be specifically available on Xbox and the Epic Games Store.

“The game needs a little bit more time in the oven before it’s ready,” the studio admits in the announcement. “Thanks for your patience and understanding. We can’t wait to continue this journey with you!”
