Astroneer’s first-ever DLC, Glitchwalkers, gets a release date of November 13

The axiom “better late than never” most certainly applies to Astroneer’s decision to announce a DLC pack seven years after its launch, but sure enough the Glitchwalkers DLC is coming to the sci-fi survivalbox, and now System Era has nailed down a date: Wednesday, November 13th.

The headliner for this DLC is the addition of a new planet called Aeoluz to the game, which the studio notes is the largest planet in the game’s galaxy yet. Explorers can expect new biomes, technology, gameplay features, and the game’s first true villain named Lyn, a disgruntled member of the ESS Elysium crew who seeks to dismantle the Astroneer Training Program from the inside by tinkering with its code.

While the new planet and its additions are some of the bigger features, the base game will also be getting a tangential update as well that reintroduces glitch-filled storms and introduces new gameplay features, quality-of-life updates, and bug fixes. It’s all coming soon to PC and consoles, but players can whet their appetite with the trailer below.
