When we think of MMOs that have stalled out or are spinning their wheels doing a lot of nothing in particular, often our minds go to maintenance-moded titles like, say, RIFT or Secret World Legends. The companies keep these MMOs online (for the time being) and perhaps activate annual events or put out a bug fix patch, but that’s pretty much it.
Yet in addition to those games in maintenance mode are other MMOs that should be getting a lot more love and development than they are. These are games were the new content is reduced to a drip, where the story isn’t seeming to go anywhere, and where there hasn’t been a lot of reason to be excited about the future.
