RuneScape’s Christmas Village returns for 2024

It turns out that a large swath of RuneScape players have indeed been nice this year, because Papa Jagex is giving them the keys of the Christmas Village and not banishing them to the coal mines. What? Of course Jagex has a coal mine. How did you think it made its profit margins?

In any case, the Christmas Village and related event are set to go live in the game on December 2nd with a fresh injection of frosty fun: “Take part in all-new festive activities, enjoy weekly buffs, and discover a sleigh brimming with both new and returning rewards. Don’t forget to visit Santa for some delightful festive prizes—and if you’ve been especially nice, perhaps even a Black Partyhat.”

Meanwhile, RuneScape’s November 22nd patch added many more sources of wood sprites to the game, nerfed the Blood Reaver, and paved the way for combat mastery achievements coming in 2025.
