Star Wars: The Old Republic’s last big patch of 2024 now has a release date: Tuesday, December 10th.
Broadsword confirmed that Update 7.6 will be coming out next week with promises of full patch notes on Monday. However, we know that Galactic Threads will improve many of the visuals in the game, add a new eight-person Propagator Core XR-53 lair boss encounter, introduce a dynamic events system on Tatooine and Hoth, bring back the Life Day celebration, add a companion mount, and kick off PvP Season 7. The story content originally designated for the patch has been delayed until it can be completed, however.
SWTOR is also releasing abandoned character names (and will be selling rename consumables on the store at a 90% discount).
In other news, SWTOR’s Mac version is looking at open beta testing “in the coming weeks.” The studio said that this version will only work on M-series chipsets with the Sonoma MacOS. So no original 1999-era iMacs here with Phantom Menace stickers on their sides.
