Star Resonance, the mobile/PC revision of Blue Protocol, readies another beta test in China for April 24

Eventually the game name Star Resonance is going to stick in people’s minds and not summon mental images of being a spinoff of another popular gacha RPG, but until then we’re going to keep reminding readers that this is effectively a mobile remake of the sunsetted Blue Protocol being developed for China by Tencent-owned Shanghai Bokura Network Technology.

We bring this game up once again because another closed test in China is on the way: As first noticed by fansite Star Resonance DB, another limited test is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 24th, with names being taken between now and April 20th. Details from a related FAQ (after being run through Google Translate) explain that this test will draw in new players as well as include previous testers and appears to be for both PC and Android.

Entering for the test involves either filling out a questionnaire, participating in “official community activities,” or signing up to be a content creator for the game, though Star Resonance DB also links alternate ways to join in. Just be advised that all of this is China-specific and so will likely require a bit of maneuvering to get in to if you’re in the west.
