If you follow the Guild Wars 2 roadmap, then you probably already know that Super Adventure Box is slated to return next week. Once created as an April Fools’ day joke, it’s ballooned into a multi-week festival thanks to player demand – and it doesn’t always line up with April Fools’ day. In recent years, it’s even been getting content and reward updates. But just in case you missed all that, ArenaNet has confirmed it.
“SUPER ADVENTURE FESTIVAL IS BACK!” the studio tweeted. “Power up – from April 15 – May 6, jump into the pixelated madness of the Super Adventure Box in #GuildWars2! Are you ready to level up your loot?”
The accompanying retro-cartridge-themed image isn’t just a promo; it teases a new weapon set (the super rainbow cloud set), retro-forged weapons, powered boots, “and more.”
They don’t make ’em like they used to, and I mean that in every sense of the phrase.
