Most of the time when RuneScape puts out its weekly newsletter, we tend to focus more on the content additions and patch notes and less on the other side announcements, since they tend to focus on things like lockboxes or cash shop things. This week, however, is different, as the latest update not only brings new content but also some genuinely interesting things surrounding the MMORPG.
First up is the opening of the Blooming Burrow Easter event area as promised, with all of its new and returning skilling activities and seasonal rewards for players to grab up. The patch has also applied some visual updates to bees and the beekeeper and fixes a few typographical and quest bugs.
If the bunny-filled Burrow isn’t your thing, then this week also lets you take on Duck Quest, a series of quests that start with helping a lost duckling and end with a visit to the hidden duck haven of Paddlington. This quest started life as a 2022 Game Jam project by Mod Echo and has now ballooned into… well, Duck Quest.
Finally of note: Jagex will be hosting a livestream for its upcoming survival sandbox Dragonwilds tomorrow, April 15th, at 12:00 p.m. EDT. Viewers are promised a look at the game in action and some information about its next development steps.
