The days of doing everything in a full alliance have passed for Final Fantasy XI. Much of the content that used to require alliances can now be done solo, and the stuff which does still require other people usually can be cleared with just a single party. But that doesn’t mean that fans of the old style of alliances are left out in the cold, either; the game’s next version update will open up Omen content for alliances, primarily to allow players who are otherwise struggling to clear it another way of taking things on.
Players can also look forward to a new Omen boss, the usual Omen and Ambuscade updates, and a number of quality-of-life changes. Players will have fewer clicks required to make it through Escutcheon turn-ins, and the gil repository in the Mog Garden will be able to store a larger amount of gil. It’s a minor update, yes, but it should make your time in Vana’diel at least a little more pleasant.
