It isn’t all sunshine and daisies for PlanetSide 2, even following yesterday’s massive PlayStation 4 launch. For starters, the European servers for all PlayStation versions were taken down soon after the console release due to a technical issue and have yet to be restored.
Speaking of Europe, Daybreak said that German law is forcing a fee of about 0.5€ on the title due to a law requiring a price tag for games sporting a USK-16 rating. This means that in Germany, at least, PlanetSide 2 isn’t a free-to-play title (although it is very cheap).
Finally, the game’s South Korean publisher, Daum Games, announced that it will be closing down the title in that country next month due to a lack of interest and other issues.
