It just wouldn’t be an MMO or pseudo-MMO launch without a day-one patch, now would it?
Thanks to a leaker on Reddit, we’ve got patch notes for update rolling out on Anthem’s official launch day of February 22nd. It’s not a kitchen-sink type of patch, fortunately, and it primarily focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements, but there are also tweaks to the party gathering mechanics, legendary contracts, gear modifiers, stronghold bosses, status effects, and loot drops when you’re down. Plus: “Non-Masterwork materials purchased from the crafting store now show as their proper rarity instead of incorrectly showing as Masterwork.”
Oh yeah, and the loot farm people were abusing – the one where you set difficulty to GM just to improve your open world chest loot? Yeah, BioWare’s already nerfed that in early access. Course, the people who did it get to keep their gear, so.
We've reduced the chance of high rarity items in non-world event chests in free play. This applies to all difficulty levels in #AnthemGame
