One of the things that drew me to Camelot Unchained from the very beginning was its clothing and armor, of all things. Yes, I’ll be here for the crafting and RvR and building and vendors, but the concept artists for this game inspired me by designing gear that I’d actually want to wear. You can see a bit of those concepts in the game’s latest developer post, which is apparently just the start of a miniseries on how gear is developing (skirts over pants, and they’re not all buttcapes, who knew?).
And that’s just part of the dev letter. City State Games’ Tyler Rockwell says the studio is busy testing both Characters 2.0 and the new crafting UI, both of which were presented in their current form to player testers in beta one this past weekend (beta one began last summer, you’ll recall, and is still very much under NDA). “The Characters 2.0 work, for me, has been a long road — which has resulted in much-better-looking characters,” he writes. “It’s also really nice to see the new crafting UI getting put through its early paces. We spent a lot of time looking at concepts, so seeing it working is a blast!”
