The Daily Grind: Have you tried anything new in MMOs since January 1?

Not to be too mean to January, but it always feels like a month that’s a hangover from the holiday excesses of the last three months of every year. It’s wintry outside, there are no good new releases, and game studios take forever to rev back up to full strength.

So it’s the perfect time, in other words, to try something new! Without any imminent MMO releases on the horizon, I like to use this time to jump back into older favorites, roll up new characters, and try out titles I’ve never touched before. I have a couple of fresh characters in LOTRO and Guild Wars 2 to bear witness to this personal trend.

Have you tried anything new in your MMO gaming career since the start of the new year? If so, how’s it working out for you so far?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
