The ninth season of Overwatch 2 is ticking down to launch next week on February 13th with an array of “eldritch horrors” waiting on deck.
Season 9: Champions adds the titular rank of competitive play in addition to the fancy Jade weapon, a new battle pass reward track, the Ancient Caller Moira mythic skin, and limited-time events. Blizzard is also adding a co-op mode called Cosmic Crisis and a Gauntlet hero mastery for teams to conquer.
Blizzard continues to push its community-improving initiatives as evidenced in a new blog post. The studio is giving endorsements “greater impact,” cutting down on players leaving quick play matches, fighting aimbots and hacks, and being transparent about why it takes action against players.
