Anything is better with a friend and that certainly goes for leveling up the slayer skill line in Old School RuneScape. Now, at long last, players can team up to take on slayer tasks together as the slayer partners feature is back in the MMORPG after a four year absence.

Activating this feature is a matter of using the partner option on a slayer helmet or enchanted gem, selecting “new partner,” and typing in the name of the friend you want to slay together with. The feature has received a number of updates that avoid boosting and abuse, such as only receiving tasks that both players can complete and the inability to have a partner join in on an already selected task. Otherwise, it’s time to play – and slay – together once more.

The patch that launched slayer partners’ return has also applied another series of Poll 82 updates like a swap option for certain off-hand items and a search feature for Tempoross, as well as multiple improvements to the makeover interface and several other general game updates.

Meanwhile in RuneScape, the mining and smithing skills have a new level cap of 110, complete with commensurate new materials and crafts, and Jagex is talking up a RuneScape Ahead video that promises to share a roadmap of content updates that stretches out to mid-2025; that video will premiere tomorrow, August 15th, at 12:00 p.m. EDT on YouTube.
