Are you ready for Varla-more? Because that’s what has arrived in Old School RuneScape this week with Varlamore: The Rising Darkness, which adds some new areas, quests, and encounters for players to take on. And no, we’re not apologizing for that pun, especially because we’re pretty sure Jagex made a similar joke.
This new content update brings two new zones to the titular continent in the form of the Darkfrost Mountain and island paradise of Aldarin, where players can take on some new quests that continue the region’s wider story arc as well as new Tales of the Sun quests. There’s also a boss fight in the form of the Hueycoatl, a new Slayer dungeon to delve, and two new activities for the Agility and Herblore professions.
While The Rising Darkness is the star of the patch’s show, the game also has further adjustments to the Araxxor boss fight, a host of tweaks to several items and encounters, and some recent hotfixes that address a variety of bugs. As usual, granular details await in the patch notes.
