It’s time for another gaggle of Blizzard news, friends! Is it a gaggle? Perhaps it’s a pile? A bunch? A chili bowl? However you want to class it, there’s some tidbits to report on from Overwatch 2, Diablo Immortal, and Hearthstone, so let’s begin.
We’ll start with OW2, which has launched Season 14: Hazard this week. This update brings tank character and Scottish man-mountain Hazard to the roster, the “experimental” 6v6 role queue event to see if players really want the original recipe, the Winter Wonderland seasonal event, and a new mythic skin that dresses Reinhardt up as Thor. Additionally, Blizzard is rightfully thanking players for raising $12.3M for breast cancer research by purchasing the Pink Mercy skin.
Over in DI, next week’s content update will bring the fight against Diablo (aka Big King Spicy), which will take place in the new World’s Crown zone, which promises to be the mobile ARPG’s largest yet. The patch will also bring a new difficulty level for dungeons and helliquary bosses, three new legendary gems, and an extension of the celebratory Lich King fight until December 31st.
Finally, Hearthstone has kicked off Battlegrounds Season 9, which is taking up a Technotavern theme that adds three new heroes along with balancing for existing heroes, a refreshed minion rollout, and the ability to reroll heroes before a match in the mode begins. The patch has also made some updates to arena, brought back Twist mode, and launched the seasonal event of Bob’s Holiday Bash.
