Emily “Domino” Taylor, long-time EverQuest franchise crafting wizard at SOE and now Daybreak, announced that she’s leaving the studio at the end of the month — just a week after Landmark sunsets, in fact.
Sad to announce I'm leaving Daybreak at the end of February. It’s been a pleasure & an honour supporting the #EQ2 & #Landmark communities.

“I love SOE/Daybreak & am super sad to leave, but it feels like time to return home to Canada, and remember what shoveling snow is like!” she tweeted. “More news on new job once I start. Fear not, I shall still tweet food and cat photos, and shall lurk around the world of Norrath.”
But don’t worry about Daybreak. “Daybreak has way more staff now than when name changed,” she says. “They just don’t tweet about unannounced stuff so you don’t see em!”
Before I saw the Canada tweet, I wondered whether someone is putting together my dream team: Taylor was one of five devs I listed on my 2014 MMO dream team, along with now-former ArenaNet art god Daniel Dociu, whose departure from ANet was also coincidentally announced this morning. You just need Raph and Kristen Koster and the City of Heroes particle effects guy and we’re good.
