Former PlanetSide 2 Executive Producer Clint Worley has left the team and studio, according to a brief announcement by him on Twitter. It is unclear whether he was laid off or departed for another reason.

“Sorry for the lack of updates,” Worley said. “I am no longer working at Daybreak Games. The PS4 team is still cranking away and the game is in good hands. I can’t wait to see how the project turns out. PS2 on PS4 is epic and it will redefine free-to-play on consoles.”

A Daybreak CM took to Reddit to put Worley’s departure in perspective: “Daybreak is just like any other company and folks leave from time to time to pursue different avenues. We wish Clint the absolute best in his future work. I’m asking folks to remember that for every Higby, Carey, Worley, etc… there are 5 other guys beating away at bugs, server performance, etc… who just aren’t here or on Twitter. Nothing more.

PlanetSide 2 has already been reeling from the departures of Creative Director Matt Higby, Producer Dave Carey, and others from the layoffs last month.
