SWTOR 3.2 boosts class mission XP for subscribers
Did you miss the big Star Wars: The Old Republic cantina livestream from Anaheim? That’s all right; the whole livestream is available for you to rewatch, or you can read up in handy-dandy summary form. Among the biggest points are the activation of a major story XP boost (roughtly 12x normal rates) starting on May 4th and running for a long while and the upcoming addition of a stronghold on the iconic world of Yavin 4.

The game’s next major patch will be serving as an epilogue to the Shadow of Revan expansion, and the developers are focusing heavily upon the story of the game on planet Ziost. The Q&A session also addressed several player questions, including the possibility of Wookiee playable characters (the developers would like to do that, but VO is an issue) and bringing more companion interaction into the game (not much can be revealed, but it’s on the table). Check out the summary, or just go ahead and watch the video below.

Cool. Clearly they want as many players(/subscribers/people who pay them money regularly) up to SoR. “We’re done with Lv 1-50, big time, so catch up and give us money for the more relevant things.”

I can’t sub now but this is incentive for me this year (if its still active later this year).

GoldenHornet Caec That’s the dumbest excuse ever for their lazy development.

There are such things as universal translators in the Star Wars universe.

About time they did this.  Let us just play the stories and then punch out.

Estranged Rohirrim Last time, I started a character from scratch (Jedi Consular) and didn’t really even bother with upgrades. Just using dropped items and the occassional mission rewards, I had no trouble for the most part going up the levels straight away. (Note, I did have all class buffs and enough legacy levels to make my companions very powerful with the companion stat (Presence). My companions tended to have more DPS and HP than my character did. ;) My legacy level is probably 40 something now, but with at least a legacy level 20 or so, it should be very easy to level up without really pausing for equipment upgrades.
Anyway, long story short – got on last week to do some double XP that’s currently running, and at 55, I had all green (generic) equipment and had no trouble on Makeb with the Makeb buff running. Actually finished that up, and now read for Oricon and all the free awesome equipment that drops there. :)
