Skyforge expands Pantheon functionality with its first major patch

We worship things being set on fire.

Pantheons are a pretty big deal for gods. You get your own worshippers, but you also get to sort of time-share worshippers with the other members of the pantheon, like a two-for-one deal. They’re also a big deal in Skyforge, where they allow players to work together and establish a community. And along with almost every other part of the game, they’re getting a major update in the game’s first major patch which is releasing on August 11th.

Construction missions are being adjusted, with resource costs of several buildings being altered and the construction resources being placed into a collective pool for all Pantheon members to use. There are also systems being put into place to rank Pantheons according to strength, although in this particular patch it’ll be limited to just indicating strength for your personal Pantheon. Check out the interface screenshots and more details on the changes on the official site.

Bluetouchpaper Tizmah1 Dystopiq Kodimus Yes, I do dungeons in MMOs, maybe two or three times if they are fun and unique.  End game like in FFXIV where it becomes a lobby based dungeon  grinder?  No thanks.

Kodimus Pashgan Devs are trying to turn classic guilds into sports team. Where “sport” mean “$$$ investments”. As result there is barely any socialization in the game because the most active pantheons recruit only high prestige wallet warriors and the rest struggle with high cost of facilities (which are mandatory for end-game).
But at the moment it doesn’t matter because end-game past ~40k (5-10 weeks) isn’t too interesting since there is almost none noticeable item progression for casuals and in-game activities could be better described as “passivities”.

Pashgan Wow, that’s insane. I’ve played solo so far so my experience with pantheons is limited. That’s weird, you’d think the features that embrace social elements would be more accessible.

Dystopiq Kodimus Oh when I say depth I’m referring to the progression mostly. The repetitive nature of the content is definitely a negative, but I’m so used to that from playing games like Diablo and FPS multiplayer so I didn’t consider it enough for me to quit.

So far Skyforge has the most expensive pantheons/guild building system
I’ve seen: developed pantheon – with access to end-game buildings –
requires months of farm by small group of people or coordinated effort
(i.e. taxes) of hundred(s) of players. Either that or ~300$ 8-)

Dystopiq Kodimus Yup, the moment the game expected me to repeat content I already mastered I was like….Nope! See ya!

Kodimus I feel opposite. The repetitive nature of it turned me away. It’s just farm the same instances over and over

You know, this is a pretty damn good game. I’m impressed with its depth and I *really* like the progression system. Allods Online wasn’t all that great, but it seems like they learned a lot of lessons from it and applied them to Skyforge’s development.
