This is both awesome and an illustration of what's wrong.

If you’ve never cared about the lore behind World of Warcraft, the hardcover Warcraft Chronicles book releasing on March 15th is unlikely to change your mind, due in no small part to the fact that you likely won’t buy it. It would make an odd purchase for someone who didn’t care. On the other hand, if you can’t wait to get a more thorough explanation of the fundamental cosmology behind the earliest portions of Azeroth’s history… well, actually, you don’t have to wait until the book’s release for that.

Dark Horse Comics has released a 21-page preview of the book, free for anyone to download with no DRM prior to the book’s full release. It covers the formation of Azeroth, the creation of the Aspects, and the early stages of the Zandalari empire in brief, with several bit of artwork to flesh out the history. If you’re curious about the book but still on the fence, it’s a good idea to download the preview and decide for yourself if you’d like this sitting on your bookshelf.
