Trove challenges players to build monuments to horror films

Just because something’s blocky doesn’t mean it can’t be terrifying. Oh, it may take a lot more work and imagination to fashion cute, colorful blocks into something that would make small children cry out in fear, but Trove is betting that its community is up to the challenge.

The team is running a Houses of Horrors contest as part of its Halloween season, asking player clubs to “build the stuff of nightmares.” The goal of the contest is to build a scene in a club world that represents the horror movie genre in some form (and copyright violations be damned), and then post a screenshot on the forum as proof.

The top six winners of the contest will receive various amounts of piñatas and spotlighted promotion of their entries. The contest concludes on October 31st, after which the winners will be posted on November 4th.
