The second convention for Final Fantasy XIV fans is arriving in just a little more than a week, and if you don’t already have a ticket, you’re not going to be going there. It’s been sold out for quite some time. But that’s all right; you can get in on a limited form of the event via the game’s livestream, which allows you to watch all of the events, all of the panels, and even pick up the exclusive items for attendees.

Players will be able to pick up a costume based upon the main characters from Final Fantasy X (a Tidus costume for male characters or a Yuna costume for female characters) along with a special minion, and the stream is available for purchase for fans outside of the US. If you don’t opt to purchase the livestream, you’ll be unable to watch any part of the festivities, although yours truly will be on the ground and offering coverage while the fan festival is going down. So yes, you’ll hear about the next expansion here as soon as we know, or you can watch the livestream and know as it happens..
