Here’s some food for thought on an October morning: Would you be interested and/or willing to play a high definition remake of the original Guild Wars? Some fans are petitioning ArenaNet to make just that after being encouraged by the studio to poll the community.
“I recently contacted ArenaNet through their support page as inquired as to whether or not they had any plans or desire to re-release Guild Wars in an HD format and received a response today,” Reddit user XClaytonHannaX wrote. “I was told that they were unsure about whether or not it was something they would do but they encouraged me to create a forum thread to see if the idea gained any momentum.”
As of the writing of this article, the thread had 191 upvotes and 52 replies. A week ago we saw how another fan initiative took the original Guild Wars trailer and remastered it with better visuals and an increased resolution.
