Start earning your World of Warcraft class mount next week

For those keeping track at home, World of Warcraft’s Patch 7.2 came out this past March, and yet here it is June and all of the features from said patch have yet to be unlocked. Happily, one of the most anticipated promises of the update is finally coming next Tuesday.

Blizzard Watch reports that players will finally get to earn their Legion class mounts starting on June 6th. There’s a lot to do to get to this point, as the process involves finishing up the entire Assault on Broken Shore scenario and completing the Legionfall campaign. There’s also a special quest line tailored for each class, so it’ll be a little different depending which character you’re playing.

The good news is that once you unlock a class mount, it’s account-wide for any other characters of the same class. Get a refresher on what these classes look like after the break.

I was excited to get a cool mount — until I realized that my class (Mage) gets a giant, gaudily- colored Frisbee for a mount. Sigh. No cool mount for me if I go back. QQ

lame… WoW turned into a halloween costume party and Blizzard are trying to push this to the limit xD

I actually kind of like the Rogue mount but Mage, Druid and Shaman really got hooked up.

Really looking forward to this. The Broken Shore “weekly questline” was really really boring, but the mount(s) are likely going to be worth it in the end, for me.

As a Druid main, I feel cheated.

But some of those other mounts(SHAMAN!!!!!) make me want to resub and level.

I really don’t get the hype behind shaman mounts, but either way, I can’t see being unhappy with the ability to carry a friend on an instant-cast flying form.

Warlock and Paladin really get stiffed. The mounts are just slightly updated versions of what they’ve had for their entire careers. Shaman, however, is bad-assed!

I expect there will be many claims of Blizzard having a pro-shaman bias. Cause that looks awesome.

In fairness, Warlocks and Paladins have had class mounts since day one. Not to say they should get to select from the meh mount department because of this…but they had what every other class had envied since WoW time forgot.

Still though, Blizz could of used a bit of imagination an added wings to those steeds. Instead of using updated those respected mounts from Vanilla that somehow can magically fly. Just saying.

I have a tauron paladin. I REALLY want an updated version of the Sunwalker kodo. Might have to go pvp for the Vicious War kodo to make my self feel better =/

Blizzard hates loathes and despise Paladins, I have heard enough employees say it at Blizzcons so I believe them.

So raid or don’t get?

Thought so

Guess it’s a good thing you don’t need to raid to get it then huh?

Having to raid to get Legion flying has made me suspicious of a raid possibly being involved in everything…

Oh Kay….. But Raiding isn’t even part of legion Flying.

Reader

Flying requires Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part I
which requires Loremaster of Legion
which requires Good Suramaritan
which requires A Growing Crisis
which requires The Emerald Nightmare: The Stuff of Dreams

…which is inside a 25-person raid.

Hmm I guess your right. I guess I just never considered it raiding when I can que up for that one boss in Lfr AFK and get credit for the quest

Yeah, you’re right in that respect – it’s ten minutes at most and no-one needs to communicate with anyone, lol. But I think a lot of people see ‘raid’ and think ‘never again’ – I certainly considered whether to bother with it or whether to cancel the sub since it seemed so arbitrary a requirement for flying.

The rogue one doesn’t look very impressive, but that shaman one is pretty spiffy
