Check out Destiny 2’s Legends Will Rise PC launch trailer

Cursing.

Hey remember Destiny 2? That cute li’l sequel from Bungie that launched on console and core MMO players promptly forgot all about it? Well, in case that’s you, Bungie has a sweet new PC-capped trailer out to remind you that PC is coming next week. There’s even a countdown on the official site in case you’re bad at clocks. The trailer is shiny. So much jumping. All the screenshake. Insert all your PC master race jokes down below, or save them up for smack-talk during the preload period, which begins on Wednesday of this week.

And by the way, if you’re looking for a cheap place to buy it? A couple of my guildies pointed me to Green Man Gaming, which has the PC edition for 15% off with the SUCHWOW10 code. (Non-affiliate link. Thanks, Onyx and Kiry!)

Amazing. Reading people’s comments about how they’re disappointed about Destiny 2’s pc release date confounds me. I don’t think you guys get it. The pc release date is the LEAST of Destiny 2’s problems.
I WAS playing it on console when it launched, but have since, like many of us that have actually played it for a few days, stopped logging in all thogether. There’s nothing fun to do. They have dumbed down the game to the point where it’s laughably boring. Loot is unexciting. The raid design is epically bad, and the rpg elements have been watered down to the point of almost total non-existence, and overall the game is just too easy. In their attempt to make a game that appeal some to everyone, they’ve made a game that satisfies no one. The only positive edition is the enhanced story, and of course pvp is still fun.
Destiny 2 isn’t an actual sequel. It’s just dlc masquerading as a sequel.

I’ve been enjoying it personally, the story was good the strikes are fun and the public events are okay. There is about as much to do in D2 as their was in D1.

My only objections would be that in adding new worlds they took away the old worlds (mars, moon etc..) which just seems counterproductive to me…make the games universe bigger, not smaller.

I agree though it does not feel like a sequel, it definitely feels like an expansion for D1.

Only reason I am getting this is to play with my friends and guildmates. Otherwise I’d pass on it.

I wanted it on Pc, but then they stated carry over benefits from Destiny 1 would only apply to the version you played with originally, which obviously didn’t include Pc as there was no Destiny 1 PC version.

I don’t know whether they though people would just buy multiple versions across multiple platforms, but that and the fact this SO has not released with the PS4 and XB1 versions I shall NOT be bothering with a PC version.. that ship sailed and its their own fault :)

Heh I too was all fired up for destiny 2, but the fact that we got our release so much later than the console releases soured it for me. Now I don’t feel the drive I did a few months back. I guess that’s what happens when you treat one portion of your player base like 2nd class citizens because of corporate politics?

Luckily I found warframe to fill the void left in D2’s wake. A game where I feel like I’m valued as a customer.

I’m in the same boat as you. Bought Destiny 2. Played Destiny’s 2. Stopped. Then I rediscovered Warframe. My only regret now is that I didn’t come back sooner. I would’ve saved myself some money. Warframe is what Destiny 2 wants to be.

Since somebody decided a while ago that marking up PC games to the same prices as consoles (ME:Andromeda anyone?), I’m taking a pass since the game in the video looks too “consoley” for me and no doubt the price won’t be worth the game…Have fun though.

You can thank Activision/Blizzard for that. They did it first.

This game is still relevant? Feels like the console launch was eons ago. I still think this staggered release is/was a bad idea.

Yup, if they had released GTA V earlier, I might have played it.

And they might do it again with Red Death Redemption….

No news if there will be a PC version…..but i gues we will get one a year after release.

Delaying PC launch was a boon for me, let me re-discover Warframe. Now I’ve saved the money for Destiny 2 and can wait to see if they will really support it or if it will just be another drop to the market and forget about it.

Hopefully it will develop like Warframe, where I was not impressed at launch, but now…much better.

I’m very satisfied with Bungie’s concern for my playtime since they staggered the release….worked for me beautifully. lol

D2 is nothing like warframe. Warframe is a grinders paradise, Destiny 2 is catered to a more casual crowd.
