EVE Online preps for Fanfest 2018, puts a bounty on the head of Twitch streamers

Twitch streamers are ready to rumble in EVE Online! “Twitch vs. EVE 2” is taking place today at 5:00 p.m. EST, as four fleets of Twitch EVE streamers are roaming about the game, begging for a fight.

Players are being encouraged to find and possibly destroy these fleets, which shouldn’t be too hard since the fleets will be broadcasting all of their movements live. There’s a reward past just the glory of taking them down, too, as 500 PLEX is on the line for the first 10 pilots who shoot down a streamer from each of the four fleets.

In other community news, preparations are at a fever pitch for next week’s EVE Fanfest 2018. A schedule, important attendance information, and keynote summaries are up on the site for fans. Parties and pub crawls abound, but the parade had to be canceled this year.

Massively OP will be on the ground at the convention, so stay tuned for first-hand reporting from the floor!

People streaming EvE? And, like…others see that?
Good lord, that adds a whole new dimension to “watching paint dry”

EVE streams are lot of fun to watch, especially if you understand the often many things that are happening during fights. Granted it’s a bit different viewing style than the short attention span, in your face, over the top streams for twitch-based FPSes / MOBAs.

I enjoy watching fleet fights without having my own ship on the line, if you want to watch something as boring as paint dry watch LoL streams
