Last year, I realized that I hadn’t backed any video games. I didn’t back any this year either. Oh, sure, some of the games I backed ages ago, like Crowfall, are finally shaping up. And I was sorely tempted; Fractured is definitely on my shortlist.
But in the end, I held my wallet closely. Stuff like TUG? It burns me up. It’s not about the $10 I paid. It’s about the lies. And there’s only one way to avoid them.
I’m still not swearing off the platform; I backed stuff this year, physical stuff, stuff I will actually see completed and in my hands within my lifetime. And I can’t say all crowdfunding is bad since MOP wouldn’t exist without it. But hey, I know our readers, and a lot of you think Kickstarter is pure poison.
Will you Kickstart any MMOs in 2019?
