Aion outlines a first pass of revisions to control effects

Stunning!

It’s a time-honored rule that stunned people are not particularly good at fighting back. This is as true in Aion as it is in any other game, but the developers on the North American version have found that it can actually have some undesirable interplay in the game’s Arena format. As a result, there are some changes on the drawing board for how the various disabling effects in the game work, which will both make it possible to attack a wider variety of controlled players while also giving more opportunities to recover for the afflicted players.

Stasis, Charm, Chain, and Confuse will no longer render victims immune to attack but will instead reduce the damage taken, while Freeze, Terror, Morph, and Sleep will cause their victims to take increased damage while still being removed after the target is struck. Check out the full list of proposed changes and offer some feedback about how they look; it’s a complex balancing act to make sure that these effects still keep the same flavor without being overpowered.
