It’s time for things to get super spooky in EverQuest II as the Nights of the Dead arrive once more; if you can’t celebrate the macabre all through October, why even bother? This year’s even runs until November 1st and offers players a brand-new quest for tracking down and defeating Thieving Harvey. There are also new collections added to the Pumpkin Bomb for those who don’t feel the need for a new quest but do want that rush of novelty.

Crafters can also produce a variety of new items, and the broom mount is available for those who wish to swoop around and feel appropriately spooky all year long. It’s an appreciable celebration of the season for players. There’s also a new patch available today, with a handful of item adjustments and a reversion of an earlier fix that was meant to be applied with the game’s next expansion and has thus been reverted for balance purposes.

I installed the game today and played for like 20 minutes. It’s amazing how bad this game really is. From the UI to gameplay and combat… simply amazingly bad.

It’s bad nowadays. The game is actually pretty good, if you can get through a lot. They need to rework quite a lot of stuff for this game to actually improve.

It’s too late. It’s too far into development, it’s sort of like on life support and I don’t think they have the right people to undertake such a huge task.

It’s the same situation with LOTRO – bad engine (resulting in clunky gameplay), bad UI decisions, other bad design decisions, too far into development to fix it at this point.

It’s too late for this particular company. Not too late for the game.

Honestly, i’m just waiting for a EQ2 pserver, with a classic feel and some QoL like Housing.
