Digital Extremes has treated us to another gaggle of news for the multiplayer sci-fantasy shooter thing, with details on a Halloween Tactical Alert, the next Nightwave step, and a delay for The Old Blood update.

All platform players will get to fight to survive the night in the Hallowed Flame Tactical Alert, which will strike familiar to those who fought Zealoids in Nightwave: The Emissary. In short, players need to kill the Zealoid to obtain a lantern, keep it charged by killing enemies for the required length of time, and extract successfully. Completing the three missions will net you an Orokin Catalyst, Forma, and Aura Forma, while clearing the encounter with a score of 900 in 15 minutes will reward the Naberus Ephemera aura that surrounds your avatar with batss and a Stratos Emblem.

All platforms are also getting the second Intermission for Nightwave, which lets players earn a number of rewards from Intermission I and Series 1. There are 30 ranks of rewards waiting to be collected as well as items from Nora’s Offerings, but this will only run for a limited time.

Finally, the devs held a livestream that confirmed a delay for The Old Blood’s release into next week, showed off the Kuva Lich system, and also discussed changes to the Catchmoon pistol. According to a paraphrased statement from our tipster, “When a game has over 100 secondary weapons and high level players use a single one of them over 50% of the time you know its balance is out of line.” You can check out that stream on Twitch or Mixer.
