Pantheon’s Visionary Realms and Brad McQuaid’s family are sponsoring a design scholarship in his memory

Here's how you can contribute

Given that Visionary Realms has already made clear its commitment to continuing development of Pantheon in the wake of studio head Brad McQuaid’s untimely death, you probably shouldn’t be too concerned about the game’s future. But if you were, consider that the developers have once again voiced their intentions: “While we are deeply shaken and saddened, we are also unified in the design, direction, tenets and goals of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen as development advances. Visionary Realms is even more resolved to complete the vision he set out to create.”

That message was posted to the Visionary Realms website today ahead of another announcement: that the studio and McQuaid’s family are creating a game design scholarship in his honor.

“To honor Brad’s memory, in conjunction with the McQuaid family, we are pleased to announce The Pantheon Video Game Art & Design Scholarship In Memory of Brad ‘Aradune’ McQuaid at Laguna College of Art & Design. The scholarship is open to all LCAD Game Art students in good standing with the College who demonstrate notable merit (talent), and are in need of financial aid. In order to be considered, candidates must submit a scholarship application to the LCAD Scholarship Selection Committee. Donations to the scholarship can be made by checking the ‘Tribute Gift’ section [on the college’s website] and selecting Brad McQuaid’s name in the dropdown.”

I’m not crying, you’re crying.
