Chronicles of Elyria players secede from their king to create their own confederation

You guys, when MMORPG guilds are actually mailing press releases to the media, you know it’s serious business. It’s extra weird when the drama involves an MMO still super deep in development and not playable on the scale that should merit this type of drama. Nevertheless, this actually happened: A player king in the game, who spent $10,000 for the title and rank, went AWOL, leaving all of his pledged subjects – something like 250 people – to revolt and form a new kingdom worth something like $60,000. And I remind you, this game doesn’t exist yet.
