You’ve got your liberated Borg captains, you’ve got regular events blowing up the Borg, you have Borg arcs… yes, at this point the Borg in Star Trek Online are perhaps a bit less threatening than they once were. But the last part of the game’s first Event Campaign is here with the latest patch, and that’s the Borg Resurgence, bringing back three of the most popular Borg task forces to challenge players.
Above and beyond the overall meta-progression, players can also earn rewards from taking part in the task forces specifically, both in the form of new weaponry for ground forces and additional dilithium. And, you know, there are the normal rewards from just clearing a task force. The point is that you can ultimately make a lot of progress with the event, so if you’re working on clearing the overall event campaign or just really like blowing up Borg ships, you’re in good company.
