The Stream Team: Celebrating the Year of the Skritt in Guild Wars 2

6
It’s Lunar New Year time in Guild Wars 2, and Massively OP’s MJ is eager to join the celebration. That may or may not have anything to do with the fact that it’s the Year of the Skritt, and Skritts are lovers of shinies much like MJ. A perfect match, no? The new Celestial Challenge event also looks intriguing. Join us live at 8:00 p.m. for the festivities.

What: Guild Wars 2

I love GW2 but I cannot see the Skritt as anything other than bootleg Skaven.

Wow. Just looked them up. They are the horror movie version of a skritt. Skritt want shinies, those skaven look like they want blood.

That pretty much sums it up. Play Vermintide and you’ll be caving in thousands of their skulls with a big hammer.

A skritt nest near a town is at worst a minor nuisance. They’ll steal loose silverware and unguarded mirrors. And not even all skritt do that, some are quite friendly. I don’t know if she’s still around, but there used to be a female skritt running around in Lion’s Arch trying to convince some of the others of the advantages of learning to build things on their own.

A Skaven nest under a town means that if everyone is *lucky,* they’ll all by done in while they’re sleeping. If they are not lucky (and they usually aren’t) they’ll be subjected to nightmarish poisons or plagues or just all vanish one night as they’re dragged away to live the rest of their (now very short and agonizing) lives as slaves / test subjects in the endless dark tunnels that spread beneath the world.

Year of the Rabbit for when I was born. To answer the question at the end of the stream.
