There’s a certain irony in the fact that RuneScape’s newest skill is Archaeology, which itself is tied to nothing more than old stuff. But it is the new option for players, and it has officially been mastered with the conclusion of the race to get the first 120 ranking. The latest update on the official site notes the first player to 120 along with the others who have reached 200 million XP in the skill, along with showing off concept art for the newest skill.
Players who are not yet capped out may be more interested in the newest patch, which adjusts several quality-of-life issues with the skill as well as altering some balance aspects. Microsites now have a minimum of 3 caches of material for that site, while dig sites have a minimum of 2 caches of each available material, for example. Two new items can be added to the Toolbelt, the Resourceful aura now works with the skill… you can check out the full rundown in the patch notes if you’re still working on climbing that hill to 120.
