RuneScape adds new Lunar spells, launches a fresh Yak Track, and announces Golden Gnome finalists

This week in RuneScape brings yet another cornucopia of… stuff. It’s another update post and it’s once again all over the map, but it also has a variety of interesting adjustments and events for players to absorb. For example:

  • The Ninjas have added four new Lunar spells that should make a number of rote tasks less rote, like the ability to magically sift gathered soil, telekinetically move traps, fire urns without needing a pottery oven, and grind materials that normally require a mortar and pestle with the power of brain. Handy!
  • In addition, the weekly patch has made adjustments to things like the Remote Farm interface, the Tune Banite Ore spell, and Make Leather and Superglass Make abilities among other things. The linked notes have all of the salient information.
  • The Yak Track is back and it’s called Kerapac. If you love dragonkin-themed things, then this new track has you covered, with a new mechanical Yak mount, a new armor skin, and a pet by the name of Commander Scampers, which is a hamster in a ball that’s on robotic spider legs. Yup.
  • Finally, the Golden Gnome Awards have their finalists, meaning players can vote for who gets a Golden Gnome Award between now and October 4th.
