Free character transfers for World of Warcraft are closing on Thursday

And players are still finding joy

Other glows.

Some servers in World of Warcraft are just more populated than others. That’s a simple reality. In the hopes of having some players move off the more populated realms and to emptier ones, Blizzard turned on some free transfers back in November. However, the window for free transfers will be closed as of Thursday, December 17th; if you’ve been meaning to transfer but haven’t done so yet, you should get that out of the way today. Probably sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something uplifting for the day, you should stop in to read this post by an ICU nurse finding joy in Shadowlands right now. If you have somehow missed it, the entirety of the United States is currently facing immense strain on its hospitals, with health care workers overworked and overwhelmed. The nurse writing the post, on the other hand, notes how nice it is to have a game and a community to fall back on even when work is exhausting in unprecedented ways. That’s just nice.
