When it comes to MMO nostalgia, is there anything greater than the places where you first stepped foot into the game? Beginner zones not only get a lot of love for that personal connection but also for the fact that devs spend four or five times the work on the polish and design. Have to get your goods on display right away!
Thinking of my favorite zones, my mind goes back to Coldridge Valley in World of Warcraft, the Shire in LOTRO, The Secret World’s Solomon Island, and so many others.
