If you’ve been following along with the Dire Discovery quest line that’s played out in Dauntless over the last few months, you’re about to hit the finale. The most recent update to the multiplayer RPG heralds the final chapter of the narrative, offering no other context or clues beyond the quest’s name: A Shadow.
The other major portion of this patch is the beginning of promised bonus mini-events that were detailed by developer Phoenix Labs last week. The first event, Bosun’s Bounty, runs between September 23rd and 25th and offers extra bounty tokens when players claim a bounty reward or complete hard or heroic escalations. The rest of the patch notes detail updates to the Umbral Nayzaga trial, some category changes to a couple of titles, and a few bug fixes.
