The Daily Grind: How frustrated do you get with MMO delays?

With all of the MMO releases happening this month, I was banking on the rollout of New World’s fresh start servers, LOTRO: Before the Shadow, and WoW: Dragonflight happening as promised. But then I came back from vacation to see that LOTRO’s mini-expansion slipped a week, and I got mildly steamed that my carefully laid plans were thrown off by it.

I can’t say that I get actually angry at MMO delays, but they can certainly grate — especially when a game sees multiple release pushbacks in a row. I think the worst is that you’re looking forward to something really fun happening on a date, and the studio is like “yoink!” and you’re left with a disappointing hole in the calendar instead.

On a scale of “cool as a cucumber” to “volcano blowing its top,” how frustrated do you get when an MMO that you play or follow suddenly delays a launch or release?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
